Packet archery is a mechanic used in some live-combat systems in which archery is represented by throwing spell packets at a target. Typically it involves a prop bow and a verbal damage call. The mechanic is considered cheaper, safer and easier than using a real bow with larpsafe arrows, but has obvious realism problems.[1]
