Larpsafe arrow

Larpsafe arrows are used in some live-combat larps and battle games to provide a realistic simulation of archery. They are typically fired from low-poundage bows to prevent injury. They typically have a large, padded tip to distribute the force of impact, and are designed to be larger than an eye socket to minimize the risk of injury. Despite this, they should not be fired full-force at close range.
Early larpsafe arrows were handmade, using coins, corks or rubber bungs underneath the padding to prevent push-through, and with a covering of fabric or duct-tape.[1] However, there are now a number of commercial manufacturers, and arrows and bows can be found in most online larp shops.
