Dagorhir has over 50 chapters across the USA, concentrated in the North-east United States. It runs several annual events, including Ragnarok, which attracts 1500 participants.

Rules

Dagorhir uses live-combat with padded weapons and larpsafe arrows and a simple limb-loss system, similar to that of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Weapons are colour-coded to represent their type, and armour provides ablative protection against some types of weapon. Other than healing, there is no magic. There is no character advancement, classes or levels.

Combat is full-contact, and grappling is permitted.

Dagorhir has minimum costume standards, and prohibits obviously modern clothing such as t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers.
