Finger-flings

Finger-flings are a mechanic used as an alternative to dice in Rules to Live By:

A finger fling is a simpler version of rock-paper-scissors. The two opponents count to 3, and then hold out either 1 or 2 fingers. (That’s, “One, Two, Three, Shoot,”) The challenger wins if the two players are holding out the same number of fingers. If the two players are holding out different numbers of fingers, the challenger loses.

Rules to Live By used multiple flings to represent the difficulty of a challenge.
