A style of game in which combat is resolved through physical combat using weapons or props meant to represent weapons. Weapons themselves are usually made out of foam or soft latex. Boffer LARPs usually have a medieval European fantasy setting; however, many science fiction or zombie survival LARPs have begun using a boffer system.

Also used to refer to the padded weapons that are used in such games.
