Card draw

Card draws are a common mechanic in theatre-style larps to resolve contests: one or more cards are drawn, a value computed, and the values compared. The cards are usually ordinary playing cards, but can sometimes be a specialised deck. Skills and abilities can be added to the value of the card, or can result in multiple cards being drawn and the highest (or lowest, for disadvantages) value being retained.
