Enclave is a Melbourne-based not-for-profit organisation that runs a weekly battle game, every Friday night at JJ Holland Park in Kensington, Melbourne, Australia. Open to players aged 16+. For players under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must attend to supervise.

Mission statement

Enclave Battle LARP aims to promote and advance LARP as a whole, locally or otherwise, and provide a safe and quality experience for its members and participants to enjoy this engaging and inclusive sport. It endeavours to foster a supportive community for its members and welcomes new players at any level of skill or fitness.

History

Formed after the closure of Exodus, by much of the same community and at the same time and place, under new leadership and the new organisational structure of a Not-for-Profit.

The first official Enclave game run was on Friday the 23rd of May 2025[1].

Committee:

  • Kira & Connor - Friday Night Coordinator & Head Director
  • Toby - Friday Night Coordinator
  • Daniel - Story Coordinator
  • Alex - Finance Coordinator
  • Reece & Hannah - Information Coordinators

In January 2026, Enclave supported bushfire recovery efforts for Mafeking Rover Park, a popular venue for weekend larps run in Victoria, which was affected by 2026 fires[2]. Bushfires have continued to pose a risk to regular larp activities in Australia, both due to direct impacts on venues, as well as indirect impacts through rising insurance premiums for larp camping events[3].
