Killer: The Game of Assassination was first published in 1982 by Steve Jackson Games. The book codified rules for an Assassin-style LARP in which the players murder each other until a single victor remains. Typically, the players play themselves (or at least a murderous near-facsimile) and the game takes place during their everyday lives, but Killer provides other variations with different settings and character possibilities.
The 4th edition was published in 1998, and is currently available as a PDF download.
