<p><b>New page</b></p><div>'''Kick-arse''' or '''Kick-ass''' is a simple larp mechanic used in many [[New Zealand]] [[theatre-style]] larps. Physical conflicts are resolved using [[paper-scissors-rock]], with characters with the "kick-arse" trait automatically winning. Winning a conflict allows the winner to force a truthful answer, take an item, incapacitate the losing character for [[five larp minutes]], or (in some games) kill the losing character. Variants include multiple levels of "kick-arse", multiple traits (e.g. physical and mental), and "kick-arse" merely winning ties.<br />

The system originated at the [[KapCon]] 2004 [[flagship]] "[[The Big Ten Four]]" and has been used in every KapCon flagship since, as well as many other larps.<br />
