Characters can do whatever they can credibly portray or can convince others that they can do. For example, instead of using specific calls for supernatural effects, they are portrayed theatrically. While phrased as a rule on the portraying character, the actual rule is on those watching, and is "react appropriately to what other people are portraying". Or, in shorter form, "go with it". If someone portrays magic, go with it (though possibly magic is unreliable and possibly the spell worked differently). If you are struck by a weapon, act injured. If someone hits you with a powerful blow, stagger. If a blow seems like it should kill you, die. And if someone doesn't react quite as expected to the actions you are portraying, go with that too.<ref name=crolarper1/><br />
