Metagaming

Using out of character knowledge for an in-game effect. Some LARPs consider all metagaming to be cheating; however, other games make allowances for metagaming which allows for greater inclusivity of other players and furthering plot. If a player uses Out of Character knowledge for the sole benefit of her character, or to the detriment of others, this type of metagaming is usually considered cheating.
